Mobile Teen Programming Brings Fun Activities Directly to Lander Youth

  • Local Champion: Word of Faith Family Church
  • Date Funded: September 10, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $2,688

In Lander, teens struggle to find safe activities during their free time, with existing programming like First Friday Fun Night providing valuable but limited monthly opportunities. When a community member learned about LOR’s work at a local coffee shop pop-up, she reached out with a plan to complement existing teen programming through a more spontaneous, mobile approach. She proposed creating pop-up events that can happen anywhere teens gather—from city parks to business parking lots—using portable equipment that doesn’t require advance planning or fixed locations. The program will focus on pre-teens and younger teens while welcoming families, creating impromptu opportunities for connection and safe fun throughout the community. LOR’s funding will help purchase a snow cone machine, popcorn machine, outdoor tent, and inflatable bounce house, giving organizers the flexibility to bring engaging activities directly to where young people are spending time.
