Leadership Training Strengthens Lander’s Nonprofit Community

  • Local Champion: Lander Community Foundation
  • Date Funded: March 14, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $23,200

In Lander, passionate volunteers power many community organizations, but these dedicated individuals often lack formal training in leadership skills like conflict management and supervision. Through conversations with local nonprofits, the executive director of the Lander Community Foundation identified this gap as a significant barrier to organizational effectiveness. When she recognized an opportunity to address this widespread need, she reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help bring in a skilled local trainer with 20-plus years of leadership development experience to offer personalized coaching to five nonprofits and host two workshops open to representatives from up to 20 additional organizations. This training will reach at least 60 Lander residents who volunteer across multiple community groups, creating a ripple effect as these individuals apply their new skills in supervision, conflict management, and relationship-building throughout Lander’s nonprofit ecosystem.
