Lander Businesses Explore Forming a Main Street Association With Help From Wyoming Experts

  • Local Champion: Lander Main Street Association
  • Date Funded: April 25, 2022
  • Grant Amount: $500

Main Street businesses in Lander want to develop a flourishing downtown, but they often lack the resources and expertise to develop and implement projects, a problem as they look to grow the local economy. In response, a group of business owners and community advocates came together to explore what it would mean for Lander to form a Main Street Association. They recognized they needed help from communities that had already formed similar groups, so they organized a workshop where experts from Wyoming Main Street and the Laramie Main Street Alliance will present to interested businesses owners and other Lander residents. LOR helped out by funding a stipend for speakers as well as the preparation of other event materials.

This project is fiscally sponsored by the Lander Community Foundation
