Housing Assistance Supports Monte Vista Families in Crisis

  • Local Champion: Monte Vista Valley Church of the Nazarene
  • Date Funded: December 3, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $8,500

An increasing number of Monte Vista families facing housing insecurity and temporary crises have been turning to Valley Church of the Nazarene for rental assistance, utility support, and emergency shelter. When church staff saw that requests for housing help were rising beyond what their Community Giving Fund could cover, they reached out to LOR for support.

With LOR’s funding, the church will provide rental assistance, utility payments, and hotel vouchers for residents experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their housing during times of crisis. This support will assist both church members and the broader community while connecting participants with additional local resources. By easing immediate financial strain, the assistance will help provide stability for Monte Vista families struggling to meet housing needs.
