Hand-printed Shirts Help Promote Lander Art District

  • Local Champion: Lander Art District
  • Date Funded: May 10, 2021
  • Grant Amount: $298

When a local shop owner came up with the idea of working with fellow artists and business owners to develop the area around her downtown building into the Lander Art District, she knew its success would depend partly on getting the word out around town. With funding from LOR, she and fellow organizers were able to print a batch of LAD-branded tee-shirts, which volunteers and business staff wore at LAD’s two-day grand opening and street fair (and at subsequent first-Friday events). The unique, hand-printed shirts were one simple but effective way to promote the Lander Art District’s dynamic mission to serve as a creative incubator and hub for artists of all stripes.
