Event Supplies Create a Local Venue for Cortez Conferences and Retreats

  • Local Champion: Lamp Post Creative Learning Center
  • Date Funded: August 11, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $7,671

Cortez lacks a local venue capable of hosting simultaneous presentations, concerts, and banquet-style gatherings, limiting the types of events available to the community. But the co-leader of the Lamp Post Creative Learning Center saw an opportunity to fill this gap. LOR’s funding helped Lamp Post purchase a projector, screen, mixing console, speakers, and other event supplies. With the equipment, Lamp Post can now run two simultaneous audio and streaming setups, host banquet- and conference-style events, and serve as an accessible venue for conferences, retreats, trainings, and symposiums.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Onward! A Legacy Foundation.
