Public Works Trailer Carries Village Projects and Community Events Forward

  • Local Champion: Village Of Questa
  • Date Funded: August 7, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $2,960

Questa’s Public Works Department is essential to maintaining and improving infrastructure throughout the Village, but too often, they lack the resources to execute projects safely and efficiently. For example, because the Village lacked a carry-on trailer, until very recently, employees were forced to use their personal trailers and vehicles—or trailers belonging to council members—to transport public works tools around town. So, a Village staff member approached LOR with a solution: purchase a trailer that all department employees can use to safely transport tools where they need to go. LOR’s support will fund the purchase of the trailer, which the Village will also use during community events like parades and hay rides.
