Capacity-Building Workshops Empower Taos Nonprofits

  • Local Champion: Taos HIVE
  • Date Funded: November 5, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $26,640

The town of Taos is home to more than 55 registered 501(c)3 organizations serving worthy causes within the community and beyond. However, many nonprofits have expressed an urgent need for affordable coaching in development areas like governance and grant writing, which can significantly impact the sustainability of a charitable organization. So a Taos Hive staff member reached out to LOR with an idea: host a free series of capacity-building workshops to provide direct technical assistance to Taos nonprofits.

LOR’s support will fund the promotion and production of workshops on nonprofit board training, grant proposal development, and grant management and compliance, including all professional consultant fees and training materials.
