Free AI Workshops Build Digital Skills in Taos

Taos community members lack accessible, in-person opportunities to learn how to use AI practically and responsibly. After the Taos County Chamber of Commerce offered an introductory AI series for members and heard from local business owners that additional training would be beneficial, a chamber leader came up with an idea: bring free, in-person AI workshops to the broader Taos community. LOR’s funding helped the Taos County Chamber of Commerce hire a local facilitator to prepare and deliver three workshops covering AI ethics, practical prompting, and marketing, serving up to 25–30 participants per session. The workshops are free and open to all Taos residents, giving community members—including elders and those less familiar with new technology—a supportive, hands-on environment to build practical AI skills and better understand responsible use.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Downtown Taos.
