Bridge Upgrades Open Weiser River Trail to All

  • Local Champion: Friends of the Weiser River Trail
  • Date Funded: September 23, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,800

A historic railroad bridge along the Weiser River Trail lacks ADA-compliant features, preventing residents with disabilities from fully enjoying the popular community pathway. One member of the Friends of the Weiser River Trail wanted to help more residents use the path, so he reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Friends of the Weiser River Trail hire a contractor to upgrade the bridge and bring it up to current accessibility standards, ensuring all Weiser residents can safely enjoy this important community asset.
