Bleachers Provide Seating for Monte Vista Community Events

  • Local Champion: Sargent School District No. RE-33J
  • Date Funded: June 10, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $20,546

Sargent School District’s baseball fields serve as an important hub for Monte Vista families. In addition to school sports, the fields host many community events. They also serve as an outdoor space for nearby neighborhoods. But after more than ten years of use, the fields’ wooden bleachers are deteriorating, jeopardizing local participation in school and community activities. One district staff member wanted to solve this problem, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Sargent School District purchase two new sets of ADA-accessible outdoor bleachers, creating a lasting community space where all Monte Vista residents can enjoy local events and gatherings.
