An HVAC Solution Enhances a Libby Gathering Space

  • Local Champion: Kootenai Heritage Council, Inc
  • Date Funded: July 25, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $29,950

Libby residents hold many community events at the Libby Memorial Center, but the deteriorating condition of its heating and cooling system is keeping them from providing a usable space for vital community engagements. In the winter, they’ve had to resort to space heaters, and summer temperatures have been so hot that people have left meetings early. To address this problem, the president of Kootenai Heritage Council reached out to the LOR Foundation for helping repairing the HVAC system in the 16,000 square-foot facility with 30-foot ceilings. With LOR’s help, the Council was able to replace the unit over the summer and make the Memorial Center once again a comfortable place to meet.
