A Telehealth Room Brings Health Care Home for Questa Veterans

As Questa’s aging veteran population faces increasing challenges traveling to distant medical appointments, many risk missing essential health care services. Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9516 identified this growing barrier to care, so they decided to create a dedicated telehealth space in Questa’s local VFW post. LOR’s funding helped purchase a computer, webcam, furniture, and privacy renovations needed to create a professional telehealth room at the VFW, allowing veterans to connect with health care providers without the burden of traveling to Taos or Albuquerque.
