A Recovery Home Creates A Safe Space for Cortez Residents

  • Local Champion: Silver Linings Recovery Homes
  • Date Funded: November 13, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

Many Cortez residents returning from substance use treatment struggle to find housing that supports their sobriety. After experiencing these challenges firsthand, one local resident and counselor decided to create Silver Lining Recovery Homes, Cortez’s first dedicated sober living facility. Her vision? Transform a local property into a supportive home where men in early recovery could focus on rebuilding their lives. LOR’s funding helped Silver Lining remodel bathrooms and purchase furniture and appliances for the eight-bed facility, creating a safe space where Cortez residents can maintain their recovery while staying connected to their community.
