A New Sports League Allows Questa Kids to Compete on Their Home Turf

Kids in Questa ages 12 and younger lack opportunities to participate in youth sports, as recreational opportunities often require families to travel to surrounding communities. This limits participation, as many parents don’t have the time or reliable transportation to take kids to practices and games. To address this problem, a Questa resident has been trying to start a new youth league that would support younger kids in the community and help them engage in physical activity right at home. Funding from the LOR Foundation helped launch a five-sport youth league—including coaching clinics and workshops, equipment and uniforms, registration fees, and more.
