A Local Anthology Promotes Cortez Authors

Four Corners Writers has hosted monthly workshops at Cortez’s ZU Gallery since 2023. At the workshops and beyond, the informal writing support group has helped local poets and writers share their work, learn about the craft and business of writing, and connect with fellow authors, becoming the center of local writing in Cortez. Hoping to promote writing and further support the many talented authors who reside in and around Cortez, some of the group’s founding members had the idea to transform Four Corners Writers into a formal nonprofit and also publish a local anthology. LOR’s funding helped Four Corners Writers file for nonprofit status and design, publish, and print an anthology of local poetry, short stories, and essays.
