A Community App Connects Cortez Residents

Many Cortez residents struggle to find information about local events and activities, making it difficult to feel connected to the community, especially for newcomers. One staff member with the Montezuma Leadership Network discovered a digital solution to this long-standing problem. LOR’s funding helped Montezuma Leadership Network purchase a subscription to Circle, an app that allows communities to share information about events, volunteer opportunities, and other local happenings. It also helped Montezuma Leadership Network launch a marketing campaign to grow the platform so that Cortez organizations and residents can build local connections and strengthen residents’ sense of community.
