Vehicle Training Equipment Strengthens Weiser Community Safety

  • Local Champion: Weiser City Police Department
  • Date Funded: August 27, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $8,851

Weiser Police Department officers are currently required to meet state-mandated emergency vehicle certifications. But without on-site training, officers must travel out of town—a recurring cost the department’s limited budget cannot sustain. Recognizing both the financial and safety burden, one officer reached out to LOR with a solution: purchase vehicle training equipment. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Police Department purchase training rings, a rim fitment kit, heavy duty floor jacks, and other supplies. The equipment will allow officers to train on a local track, building the reflexive skills needed to manage emergency responses while reducing risk to officers, bystanders, and the broader community.
