Water Stations Keep Weiser Residents Hydrated Throughout Town

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: May 16, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $18,545

Weiser residents and visitors lack access to safe drinking water while enjoying parks, trails, and downtown activities, forcing some to go without hydration during hot summer events and daily activities. After hearing numerous community members talking about this issue, the city manager worked with staff to develop a solution and reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase and install five ADA-compliant water bottle filling stations with integrated drinking fountains and pet bowls at key locations including parks, trailheads, and downtown areas. The stations will ensure residents can stay properly hydrated year-round while participating in Weiser’s many outdoor activities and community events.
