Water Bottle Stations Keep Weiser Students Healthy and Hydrated

  • Local Champion: Weiser School District 431
  • Date Funded: February 6, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Outdated water fountains in Weiser schools have created hygiene and health concerns, spreading germs and preventing students from staying hydrated throughout the day. It was a problem one school district staffer set out to solve with a simple idea: water bottle filling stations. Hoping to get the project off the ground, she reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Weiser School District 431 install four water refilling stations and two ADA-compliant refilling stations throughout district schools. The new stations will keep students and staff stay hydrated during classes and school activities while reducing plastic waste.
