The Taos Housing Partnership Helps Demystify Home Ownership

  • Local Champion: Taos Housing Partnership
  • Date Funded: October 12, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

Housing insecurity has been a growing problem in Taos, but many locals do not have easy access to resources and information about affordable housing options. The Taos Housing Partnership formed in recent years to address this concern, and they’re now launching a series of community conversations in which locals can learn about home ownership programs and other available options. To help get the conversations off the ground, the LOR Foundation helped the Housing Partnership pay housing experts a stipend to conduct at least 10 sessions with locals, ultimately hoping to reduce the barrier to home ownership in Taos.

This project is fiscally sponsored by the New Mexico Community Trust.
