Signs Help Visitors Navigate Libby’s Fresh Market Scene

  • Local Champion: Farmers Market at Libby
  • Date Funded: July 31, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $1,825

The Farmers Market at Libby moved to a new, more centrally located venue after volunteers formed a new nonprofit, but the location lacks clear parking areas and pedestrian walkways. Without proper signs and traffic direction, shoppers and vendors face safety challenges navigating the busy Thursday markets. One volunteer wanted to create a safer environment for everyone attending the weekly events, so she reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the Farmers Market at Libby purchase pedestrian crossing signs, parking cones, banners, and pavement marking equipment to clearly define traffic patterns and walking areas. The safety improvements will make the market more accessible for all visitors, allowing vendors and shoppers to focus on supporting local growers.
