Private Consultation Spaces Build Trust in Libby’s Public Health Services

The Lincoln County Health Department serves as the primary point of contact for Libby residents needing public health services. But without dedicated consultation spaces, many residents are wary of sensitive discussions, creating a barrier to care. After several health department staff raised this concern, one reached out to LOR with a solution: upgrade the department’s interior doors and office layout to create secure, private spaces for confidential client consultations. LOR’s funding will help the Lincoln County Health Department purchase paint and locking door knobs and hire a local contractor to install the consultation spaces. These improvements will give residents and staff the security they need to discuss sensitive health information, building trust and encouraging Libby residents to access services.
