Planters Bring Life to Downtown Weiser

  • Local Champion: Main Street Weiser Inc
  • Date Funded: November 18, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $6,873

Downtown Weiser lacks the curb appeal needed to draw visitors and encourage people to linger, shop, and dine, a problem one local with Main Street Weiser set out to solve. Her idea? Transform downtown Weiser’s public spaces with flowers and greenery, helping local businesses by creating welcoming spaces that encourage more people to spend time downtown. Hoping to get her idea off the ground, she reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Main Street Weiser purchase concrete planters, soil, and fertilizer to launch the downtown beautification project. Once installed, Main Street Weiser will establish an “Adopt a Pot” program, working with local businesses to cover the costs of replanting the pots year after year.
