Concessions Improve Game Day and Increase Revenue for Libby Soccer

  • Local Champion: Kootenai Rapids Soccer Club
  • Date Funded: October 27, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Families attending youth and high school soccer games at JNeils Park in Libby have few food options, making it difficult for spectators to stay on site and reducing the revenue for teams. A local volunteer with the Kootenai Rapids Soccer Club recognized this gap and reached out to LOR with a solution: upgrade the existing concession stand’s equipment and offerings to better serve families at the park. LOR’s funding will help the Kootenai Rapids Soccer Club purchase and install equipment—including a refrigerator, cheese dispenser, heated display case, and latte machine—and hire contractors to prep and paint the stand’s interior. The upgrades will allow the club to expand its menu to include nachos, pretzels, and hot drinks, strengthening the game-day experience for Libby families while increasing the concession revenue the club relies on to invest in equipment, uniforms, and field maintenance.
