Lander Chamber of Commerce Reminds Community Members: Shop Local!

  • Local Champion: Lander Chamber of Commerce
  • Date Funded: November 15, 2021
  • Grant Amount: $697

Shopping locally matters. A vibrant downtown and a thriving small-town economy rely on people spending dollars in their own community. But in the era of internet shopping and COVID-19, buying local isn’t always front of mind. One member of the Lander Chamber of Commerce had a simple solution: build a marketing plan for the holiday season that its members could use to remind neighbors to shop “Lander First.” With funding from the LOR Foundation, the Chamber had a “Lander First” banner printed and hung across Main Street, and was also able to create posters and a social media campaign that Chamber members could use throughout November and December.
