Flashing Stop Signs Protect Weiser Kids

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: December 15, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $4,996

Weiser children walking to the Pioneer School must cross a chaotic intersection where drivers frequently fail to stop despite existing signs, creating dangerous conditions during drop-off and pick-up times. After community members raised concerns about this busy intersection, city staff reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase and install four solar-powered flashing stop signs, creating safer crossings for students and all residents navigating this high-traffic intersection.
