Filtration Upgrades Improve Water Quality in Taos County

  • Local Champion: A Taos resident
  • Date Funded: November 3, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

Many Taos County families do not have access to clean drinking water in their homes. In fact, residents who rely on water from the San Cristobal Domestic Water Consumers Association have been dealing with excessive silt in their water—so much so that some people are hauling water from other parts of the county. A local resident reached out to the LOR Foundation with this problem in mind, and with LOR’s hep, the association will begin updating the association’s filtration system and delivering cleaner drinking water to Taos County residents.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Taos MainStreet.
