Event Resource Library Reduces Burden on Lander Nonprofits Planning Fundraisers

  • Local Champion: Lander Community Foundation
  • Date Funded: June 12, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,392

In Lander, nonprofits and community organizations constantly struggle to find enough tables, chairs, and linens to host their fundraisers, creating a scramble that wastes volunteer time and makes event planning inefficient. When the director of the Lander Community Foundation, who is constantly asked for these items, realized how much organizations needed a centralized solution, she reached out to LOR with an idea. An event resource library will provide tables, chairs, benches, and linens—stored in a trailer for easy transportation—that organizations can check out for free, either just the items they need or the whole trailer. By removing the burden of piecing together essentials, the library will save volunteer time, reduce costs, improve event quality, and strengthen Lander’s capacity to gather and celebrate together using shared resources.
