City Park Stage Gets Safety Upgrades and ADA Access for All Performers

  • Local Champion: Lander Presents
  • Date Funded: June 11, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $7,350

In Lander, the City Park stage is used almost every weekend of the summer by various organizations and events, but it’s unsafe with tripping hazards, electrical issues, and no ADA-compliant ramp—preventing residents with disabilities from accessing performances. When a board member of Lander Presents realized how urgent these safety and accessibility issues had become, she reached out to LOR for support. The city recognizes the stage needs these improvements but parks and recreation is overwhelmed with work this summer and doesn’t have the capacity to tackle the project themselves. Lander Presents is stepping in to handle the work on behalf of the city, using LOR’s funding to install an ADA ramp, fix electrical hazards, extend fencing, add sound-dampening panels, and sand rough beams. These upgrades will make the City Park stage safe and accessible for all community members to perform and participate in the events that bring Lander together.
