AED Units at Libby City Hall Make it Safer for Everyone

  • Local Champion: City of Libby
  • Date Funded: July 26, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $5,832

Libby’s City Hall serves as an important community gathering spot for a large portion of the local population, but city hall is currently not equipped with life-saving equipment needed to respond in the event of a cardiac emergency. That’s particularly concerning in a town with only one ambulance—which might be out on another run when a cardiac emergency occurs. To solve this problem, one local suggested putting automated external defibrillator (AED) devices in the two highest traffic parts of city hall. LOR’s funding will support the purchase of these units.
