A Washer and Dryer Provide Essential Services for Taos Residents Experiencing Homelessness

  • Local Champion: DreamTree Project, Inc.
  • Date Funded: January 23, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,790

Many Taos residents who rely on DreamTree Project’s NEST shelter lack access to basic services like laundry, making it challenging to maintain clean bedding and clothing during their stay. Recognizing this gap, shelter staff came up with a small but meaningful solution: provide laundry facilities at NEST. In need of support, they reached out to LOR. LOR’s funding will help DreamTree Project purchase and install a commercial washer and dryer at NEST, ensuring the dignity and comfort of those who visit the shelter.
