A Passenger Van Facilitates Community Involvement for Libby Residents with Disabilities

  • Local Champion: Achievements, Inc
  • Date Funded: April 17, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

Achievements, Inc., a Libby nonprofit supporting those with disabilities, operates a single seven-passenger minivan despite serving more than a dozen residents, forcing many to miss important community events and outings like farmers markets. One staff member wanted to ensure all of Achievements’ clients could be a part of the Libby community, so she reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Achievements purchase a 15-passenger van so that all of the group’s clients can travel together to events, assuring Libby’s disabled residents can participate fully in community life with independence and dignity.
