A New Website Connects Cortez to Recovery Resources

  • Local Champion: Indigenous Wellbriety Program
  • Date Funded: March 8, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $5,885

Cortez’s Indigenous Wellbriety program has been a resounding success since its launch in 2022. The program has supported local residents recovering from addiction, helping them to heal through a combination of traditional Native American practices and current recovery techniques. The project originally began under a larger nonprofit, but the all Indigenous-led group recently became independent, leaving the program without a website where it could share information about programming and events. LOR’s funding helped the group contract with a website developer and supported the group’s other website fees, ensuring all Cortez residents can access the program’s critical resources.

This project was fiscally sponsored by United Way of Southwest Colorado.
