A New Vehicle Restores Libby’s Public Transportation

An increasing number of Libby residents rely on Lincoln County Public Transportation for medical appointments, pharmacy trips, and other essential errands, but the service’s backup vehicle is now out of operation. With one vehicle already running at capacity, the loss of the backup has left many riders, including older adults and those without other transportation options, without a way to reach the services they need. With repair costs making replacement the only viable path forward, one Lincoln County Public Transportation staffer reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Lincoln County Public Transportation purchase a used vehicle, ensuring that Libby residents can continue to access the care and services they depend on.
