A Lander Puppet Show Spreads Kindness and Joy to the Community

  • Local Champion: Project Carpe Diem
  • Date Funded: October 16, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $5,000

Bringing performances and traveling shows to Lander is an expensive endeavor, which means too often the Lander community—especially youth and seniors—miss out on the joy of traveling talent. Spotting this gap, a Lander local (who brings joy to Landerites each winter when he plays Santa Clause) came up with the idea to launch a free puppet show for community groups that focuses on kindness, civility, and laughter. He just needed a little help to get it going. LOR’s funding will help with the cost of equipment like puppets, a stage, and costumes for a four-performance season through Project Carpe Diem.
