Updated Tech Aids Community Food Distribution in Monte Vista

  • Local Champion: Tomorrow's Bread
  • Date Funded: June 26, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $2,264

With the launch of Tomorrow’s Bread in 2022, Monte Vista residents experiencing food insecurity got much needed access to healthy baked goods at little to no cost. But as the need and the interest in the nonprofit’s bread donation program has grown, Tomorrow’s Bread has run into the limits of its current technology. Hoping to deliver timely and high-quality food service to more families in need, the nonprofit’s founders reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Tomorrow’s Bread purchase a laptop, printer, ink cartridges, and bread labels, allowing the nonprofit to properly label bread loaves and track donations distributed through community partners like the Monte Vista Community Food Pantry. The new equipment will help to streamline Tomorrow’s Bread’s operations, growing access to healthy food for Monte Vista families.
