Training Supplies Aid Monte Vista Swimmers

The Sargent High School girls swim team, in Monte Vista, has grown from five swimmers in its inaugural year to more than 20. And it could grow more, but the program has been limited by the costs of equipment and travel and fewer training opportunities. To help solve for this gap—and allow more young women to pursue swimming—the Sargent swim coach knew the team needed new dry training and pool equipment. She reached out to LOR for help. LOR’s funding will help to buy an underwater camera, weights, and other equipment that will aid the team during and outside of competition and lower the costs of the program, allowing more girls in Monte Vista to join.
