Summer Arts and Wellness Programs Strengthen Community Connection in Questa

  • Local Champion: Localogy
  • Date Funded: June 3, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,800

Questa youth and elders have limited access to free or low-cost wellness and creative activities, reducing enrichment opportunities for young people, mobility support for older adults, and meaningful intergenerational connections. When staff at a local wellness organization recognized community interest in programs that had been discussed but postponed the previous year, they reached out to LOR with a solution to expand access to movement-based and creative learning experiences. LOR’s funding will support Yoga Sala in hosting a Family Storytelling Event and a four-session Kids Dance Camp for youth ages 5–12 during the summer, as well as weekly Chair Yoga classes for elders and adults with mobility limitations through May 2027. Together, these offerings will promote creative expression, physical well-being, and social connection across generations and remain free or low-cost for Questa residents.
