Sponsored Content Spotlights Local Businesses and Nonprofits in Questa

  • Local Champion: Questa del Rio News
  • Date Funded: December 9, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Questa businesses and nonprofits struggle with visibility because few local platforms exist to highlight their work. As a result, many organizations operate in isolation, missing opportunities for growth and collaboration. When a team member at Questa’s local newspaper saw how this lack of community awareness was limiting social impact and economic vitality, she had an idea: create a sponsored content series paired with networking events.

LOR’s funding helped Questa del Rio News launch 19 subsidized editorial packages featuring local businesses and nonprofits through print articles, website features, and social media promotion, alongside an advertiser appreciation luncheon to strengthen relationships. These storytelling platforms now reach more than 4,000 print readers and 30,000 social media viewers each month, ensuring Questa residents learn about local resources while fostering collaboration among organizations that support the community.
