‘Shop Local’ Campaign Keeps Dollars Circulating in Questa

  • Local Champion: Questa Economic Development Fund
  • Date Funded: December 9, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $8,500

Questa residents often rely on out-of-town or online shopping because local options feel limited, which sends dollars outside the village and makes it harder for small businesses to grow or even survive. When leaders from the Questa Economic Development Fund and the Village of Questa recognized how this spending pattern was weakening the local economy, they had an idea to launch a year-round campaign promoting Questa-made products and services.

LOR’s funding helped the Questa Economic Development Fund purchase promotional materials—including stickers, shopping bags, newspaper ads, and highway banners—to increase visibility for local businesses, while also supporting weekly prize drawings featuring gift certificates from local merchants. This sustained campaign now educates residents—especially youth—about how shopping local keeps money circulating within Questa, strengthening community services, jobs, and infrastructure while building long-term economic resilience.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Localogy.
