Shade Trees Transform Weiser’s City Park into a Haven for Families

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: May 15, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $3,995

Weiser’s City Park serves as a gathering place for community events and family activities, but some of the park’s shade trees are dying and pose safety risks. One city staffer wanted to make sure families and kids could continue enjoying the park, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase and plant three mature shade trees while removing the current decaying ones, providing relief for park visitors trying to escape the sun and heat.
