Repair Equipment Improves Monte Vista’s Road Conditions

Poor road conditions in Monte Vista pose safety risks for drivers and create financial burdens for residents who must shoulder the costs of frequent vehicle and tire repairs. Recognizing their limited resources were only allowing them to address the worst potholes, city staff reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the city of Monte Vista purchase two advanced infrared asphalt patching machines that heat and recycle existing asphalt, enabling more efficient road repairs while reducing material costs. The new equipment will allow city staff to get ahead of road problems and improve overall street conditions, providing safer and more reliable transportation for Monte Vista residents.
