Perimeter Fence Increase Safety for Taos Playground Visitors

  • Local Champion: Arroyo Seco Community Center
  • Date Funded: October 21, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $8,931

The Arroyo Seco Community Center is committed to enhancing quality of life for Taos residents of all ages and offers a wide range of educational, recreational, and social opportunities for families in the area. However, their newly constructed playground, located adjacent to a water culvert and a busy state road, did not have a perimeter fence, creating a significant safety concern and compliance issue. So, a board member contacted LOR for help to install a gated fence around the playground.

LOR’s support will fund the professional services and equipment needed to construct the fence and increase the safety of playground visitors.
