New Radios Improve Emergency Response Safety in Questa

  • Local Champion: Village of Questa
  • Date Funded: December 17, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,774

Without reliable communication equipment, the Questa Fire Department can face critical gaps during emergencies, delaying responses and making safe coordination more difficult during fires or medical calls. When department leaders realized their nearly 20-year-old radios—only a few of which were still functioning properly—were limiting their ability to communicate clearly, they reached out to LOR for help.

LOR’s funding will help the department purchase ten new radios with batteries, antennas, and speaker microphones, ensuring clear, dependable communication in any emergency.
