New Poles Give Libby’s Vaulters a Lift

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: January 21, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,945

Libby Middle High School offers pole vaulting as part of its track and field program, but most of the school’s poles are over 25 years old and no longer meet the needs of today’s student athletes. The school’s track and field coach wanted to strengthen competition and safety for Libby vaulters, so he reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Libby Middle High School purchase eight new poles across a range of weight ratings. The equipment will allow student athletes to progress safely and build skills incrementally, reducing injury risk while helping vaulters to shine—and even opening new pathways to athletic scholarships.
