New Lighting and Floor Mats Ensure Safer Environment for Questa School Visitors

  • Local Champion: Questa Independent School District
  • Date Funded: December 13, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $4,700

In many ways, Questa’s public school buildings are ideal venues for community-wide gatherings and celebrations. However, district employees have identified a few areas on campus where slippery floors and a lack of lighting create potentially hazardous conditions for visitors. So Questa’s athletic director reached out to LOR with an idea: install lights and anti-slip mats to ensure a safe environment for everyone using the school buildings.

LOR’s support will fund the purchase of 10 security lights (to illuminate walkways and deter illegal activity) and 10 non-slip mats.
