Local Promotion Helps Libby’s Farmers Market Adjust to Its New Downtown Location

  • Local Champion: Farmers Market at Libby
  • Date Funded: April 30, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $1,450

The Farmers Market at Libby serves up to 50 local vendors and attracts approximately 850 visitors each week, but highway construction has forced the market to relocate from its highly visible location to Mineral Avenue in downtown Libby. Without the drive-by traffic, vendors risk losing customers and income while residents risk losing access to fresh, local produce. To ensure vendors and shoppers can find the new location, one market volunteer reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the Farmers Market at Libby purchase directional signs, welcome banners, and newspaper advertisements to promote the nonprofit’s new downtown location, keeping a Libby community staple well attended.
