Free, Family-Friendly Entertainment Boosts Attendance at Winter Craft Market in Taos

  • Local Champion: A Taos Local
  • Date Funded: December 18, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $3,400

Taos’ newly launched Winter Market provides local craft-makers with a unique opportunity to reach buyers outside the traditional summertime farmers market season. However, the market needed help boosting attendance to drive sales for participating vendors. So a local volunteer reached out with an idea: integrate free, family-friendly activities and entertainment, such as face painting, balloon twisting, and live music, to attract more locals and Taos visitors.

LOR’s support helped to fund activities and music for the 17 markets scheduled for the 2024-2025 winter season.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Downtown Taos.
