Cafeteria Tables Support Monte Vista’s Afterschool Program

  • Local Champion: City of Monte Vista
  • Date Funded: March 20, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,800

Monte Vista Kids Connection serves a growing number of children and families, but the free after-school program lacks adequate tables and benches to accommodate every child. One program staff member wanted to make sure every child could fully participate, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Monte Vista Kids Connection, which is run by the city of Monte Vista, purchase eleven new cafeteria table sets, allowing staff to serve meals more efficiently, providing more space for games and activities, and ensuring this vital community resource can continue supporting Monte Vista families.
